Tagtool

We met Portia and Dom during the Illuminating York 2009 festival, where they supported our project in many ways. We were happy to hear that they are continuing to work with the Tagtool in York – here’s a video from a school project.

On 23rd of December, guitarist and Tagtool veteran Karl Ritter celebrated his 50th birthday with a tremendous party at the Viennese jazz club Porgy & Bess. Here are some pictures!

Once again we realized a Tagtool Workshop for kids at Juvivo.15 in Vienna. This time the participants were very young (between six and nine) and had only three hours on the Tagtool. So I was curious if we even could achieve a result in that time.

We are happy to announce that the children’s theater group Tetete has won the “Jungen Ohren Award 2009″ in the category “Music and Media” for their performance format “Kinobienen Bienenkino”.

Presenting the second of our studio-recorded episodes of “Hilti’s Odyssey of Oddities”, followed by an improvised live performance of the Hilti ensemble. Theater am Petersplatz, Vienna.

Last week it was the opening of “Garage X – Theater Petersplatz“, a theater venue situated right in the historic center of Vienna. OMA celebrated this by tagtooling on the Peterskirche, a church next to the theater.

Maki and iink (Tagtool) performed with Christian Reiner (voice) and Philip Zoubek (piano) at WORM and held a DIY-Tagtool workshop at moddr.
