Ange Taggart’s artist in residence programme in Dundee ended a couple of weeks ago. The Final Gathering event gave the opportunity to get a glimpse of her work with Alistair Wilson at the central library, and the Guerilla Gallery launch party also featured a free-for-all Tagtool session.

Curators Nana Radenkovic and Relja Bobic from Belgrade in Serbia built two Tagtool Minis with valuable support from Masta Cha &
Scott Wisdom and used them for workshops with kids around the United States.


Bienenkino – Theater Comedia

“Bienenkino” is improvised live animation, music and narration for kids. The ensemble is part of Tetete, a group of artists aiming to provide quality off-mainstream children’s entertainment. Here are three videos from a concert on May 2nd 2010 at Theater Comedia in Cologne, featuring old and new characters from the Tetete universe.

Once again we realized a Tagtool Workshop for kids at Juvivo.15 in Vienna. This time the participants were very young (between six and nine) and had only three hours on the Tagtool. So I was curious if we even could achieve a result in that time.


When two hearts beat

“When zwei Herzen schlagen” (“When two hearts beat”) is an intercultural love story between the Turkish boy Abdul Kadir and the Austrian girl Doris Meier. The video is the result of a Tagtool workshop for kids at the Viennese youth center Juvivo15.


Bienenkino in Cologne

A video in four parts, in German, of a performance of “Bienenkino” by Tetete on May 29th 2009 at Stadtgarten Cologne. The audience was made up of kids from various schools. They were a little unsure what to make of it all to begin with – but by the end the guys had clearly won them over.
