We are happy to announce that the children’s theater group Tetete has won the “Jungen Ohren Award 2009″ in the category “Music and Media” for their performance format “Kinobienen Bienenkino”.

We just put the Wiki up – you can get to it from the “Wiki” link in the navigation of Tagtool.org.
It’s meant to be for tips and tricks for all things to do with Tagtool. Kind of like a collection of recipes.

We are happy to announce that students of the Döblinger Gymnasium in Vienna have won the Media Literacy Award for the short animated movie we produced at a Tagtool workshop in spring 2009. Congratulations!

Here’s a Vimeo album containing our documentation from “The Wall of Light” in York. All the artist sessions and some jams are already in there, the rest of our material will be added in the next couple of days.

We now have a schedule for the Tagtool sessions at the Wall of Light installation during Illuminating York!
Also, Ben Stern of Gaianova started a blog where he documents the activities of the next two weeks in York.

We are very sad about the passing away of our friend and collegue Richard Radlherr aka Lord Bike, main programmer of the Nodekit. On Friday, 17th of July, he went swimming with his friend Erika. They were caught by currents in a river that was still carrying more water than usual after the recent floods. Even though the tragedy was spotted by a passer-by soon after, the firebrigade could only retrieve their lifeless bodies. Both of them died in hospital.

“Video Juegos: Historias lúdicas, aventuras insólitas” is an exhibition on the fantasy worlds and the gaming territories of our times. Featuring a Tagtool installation and workshops. Centro Fundación Telefónica, July 22nd till October 4th 2009.

On May 20th 2009, Designforum Vienna opens an exhibition at MQ Vienna which features the Tagtool.

We’re happy to present the new Tagtool website, made by Stefan Nussbaumer. There will also be a forum, and a Wiki, which are currently in the works. Hope you enjoy the new site!
