# TT started crashing

TT started crashing about 1 month ago. Plays existing decks fine, but freezes mid-move in animation mode (even with one or two simple layers), and can only resume working after restart of the iPad. There’s been no significant changes to the use of anything.

Any idea what can be the cause? The update?

iPad is 2018 but used lightly, for TT only

Hello,

Are you using an external display?

Some settings that affect the iPad performance:

Set Edge Smoothing to Off (Output \> Output Settings).

Use a canvas resolution of 1920 x 1080 or lower.

Keep decks moderate in size and avoid importing very large photos.

TT crashes regardless of the external display or settings, after 2 or 3 attempts at animation(

Since nobody else have the same problem, I guess I’d need to replace the iPad
