I discovered the app relatively recently! And I was fascinated by its potential for drawing and live animation!
Considering the app’s playful intent, I was actually looking for a particular brush that I couldn’t find in any other app, since they don’t serve the same purpose as Tagtool.
I came up with this idea as a suggestion that would benefit the app, and I think the development isn’t that complex.
It’s a “dynamic brush,” a brush that fades out after a certain amount of time when you draw (perhaps there could be a slider to determine the time between the minimum and a “hold” where it becomes like a regular brush).
The only app I saw with this type of brush is an app designed by Brian Eno and Peter Chilvers called Trope. But it doesn’t have options to choose a background color or a stroke color, as it’s 100% designed for playful purposes.
I think Tagtool could use this tool to contribute to live performances! When you interact with a musician, you could create lines to accompany their music.
A step further would be to add the option to activate that line in LOOP! Defining a tempo in the session! That would really be incredible! And even more so with the collaborative options the app offers!
