The preparations for this year’s Tagtool convention are in full swing. Here’s what you can expect:
It’s all taking place in Tulln, a small Austrian town by the river Danube, 30 minutes from Vienna by train. This is where Tagtool was born back in the days.
The heart of the convention will be Kunstwerkstatt, a 400 square meter cultural space that is ideal for hosting our informal get-together of artists, musicians, performers, and Tagtool-heads. Inside, the entire space will be covered by projections, wall to wall. The space opens towards a restaurant at the banks of the river Danube.
There’ll be Tagtool presentations, workshops and discussions during the days. In the evenings, the focus is on performances and jam sessions. The program ends on Sunday night with a large-scale collaborative outdoors projection at a nearby ancient roman tower.
As always with Tagtool conventions, it’s all about creative exchange. We invite anyone who uses the tool, or plans to do so, or is simply interested in experiencing it in an ideal setting. Some of the most exciting practitioners from several continents have already expressed interest in coming - stay tuned as we announce them closer to the date!
If you’d like to participate (either as an artist/musician/performer, or as a visitor), don’t hesitate to get in touch with Josef at gnu@omai.at. He will coordinate the sessions, can help you with finding accommodation, or answer any other questions you might have.
We’re very excited to bring back the Tagtool convention to Tulln. The place has proven to be ideal for focused and satisfying creative quality time. We’re looking forward to synchronize and further develop the vision of the project. To witness different approaches to using the tool, to align creative forces, meet old friends and build artistic alliances for the future. Come join us!
