I’m just wondering if anyone else is getting random strokes when using an Apple Pencil. I tend to rest my palm on the screen when I’m drawing, but I keep getting strokes read from where my palm rests.
Is there a solution for this or I have to learn to draw with my hand raised?
On another note do folks use screen protectors, I tried playing around with a paper like to get some resistance with drawing. But it was really cumbersome, I just wanna be more precise with the pen.
But other than those quality of life things I do love the app. Wishes there was easier ways to do frame by frame tho.
Using a glove is alright, but surely Apple has solved palm rejection by now? it’s certainly much less/no issue in other drawing software - it’s probably the most frustrating part of Tagtool imo!
Good news everyone — this is actually addressed in the brand new beta that just dropped today (Tagtool 1.5.0-b30)!
There’s a new Pencil Mode toggle in the “User Interface” menu. When it’s enabled, only the Apple Pencil draws — finger touches (including your palm resting on the screen) will scroll, zoom, and operate the UI, but will never create strokes.
You can try it out right away via Apple TestFlight. If you were already in the previous beta, TestFlight will notify you automatically. If you’re new to the beta, you can join here: Join the Tagtool beta - TestFlight - Apple
