I want to paint something and while I paint on the older parts of my painting begin to fade away. Is that possible with Tagtool?

There is no automatic fade unfortunately in the Tagtool App for iPad.
You can only do it manually when you release the current painting (layer) and change to Animation Mode and lower the transparency of the painting with the opacity slider. This process can be accelerated when you have a multiplayer session up and running and another artist/player fades out your older released drawings while you are painting.
