***PROBLEM SOLVED*** New Apple iOS iPad 18.3.2 Update Causing Output Issues

Hello!

I have an update - - I was up early with Apple Support, and it seems like this is an issue with the 18.3.2 update and the Lightening adapter, which I’ve known they are phasing out, and which the "older model iPads have (ie: not USB-C).

With the new update, I was not able to connect HDMI-Lightening to my Optoma ZH406ST projector without everything being green. However, I was able to successfully connect to a SONY VPLPHZ10. (I am currently testing my other projector models)

So, this isn’t a Tagtool issue.

I tried with several cables and several adapters and several iPads (all gen 9 with Lightening, and all output green). I also tried with an iPad Pro 4th gen, and a MacBook Pro 2022 (both are ok, and USB-C).

It may be an issue with this model of projector. Or, the Lightening adapter is no longer reliable?

I do not use Airplay. I go directly from iPads cabled to projectors.

… (here is the original post, in case anyone else has issues with their Lightening adapters)…

Hello. I installed the latest Tagtool update, and the latest iPad OS update to 18.3.2, and I’m having problems with outputting to a projector.

On my iPad gen 9 iPads, and with an HDMI-Lightening adapter, all my animations output as green…!!

I tested the projector with an iPad Pro 4th gen, and no problem. I tested the projector with a laptop and no problem.

I tested with several iPad gen 9, and all green. I tested with several HDMI-Lightening adapters, and all green.

I have a tech rehearsal tomorrow afternoon, and a show on Friday - please advise!!

Hello,

Damn, sorry to hear that! Did it all work before the update?

I just tested on our 9th Gen iPads with HDMi / Lightning adapter and cannot reproduce your problem.

Started from iPadOS 18.3.1 to see if the Apple update introduced any problems - but the outputs are clean and do not have issues on my side.

Very weird the issue appears on all your 9th gen devices - you double checked the all connectors and parts involved. Have you tried to completely wipe a device and start from scratch?

Hard to say what´s the issue here.
