Hey Tagtool friends, i just started using this great App…
i bought my iPad Pro specifically so i can learn and use this amazing tool, installed the paid version , and it has been crashing ever since… already tried uninstalling and re installing… also installed the latest iOS version of the software
At first it was crashing the whole system, with pink glitches… then its only Tagtool that freezes, while the rest works
I took the ipad to a certified shop, in Guatemala where i live, the analysis said battery and screen are doing fine… they suggested it might be the model or that there might be a problem with the software of Tagtool or something related to it… and also suggested me to write this message, perhaps someone has an idea on what to do… id love to be able to use the App
I have a A2069 iPad Pro - MXFJ2LL/A
Actualized iOS 18.4
Wouldnt say the content was so much, comparen to what ive seen it can handle
I have not yet gotten to use it with any projector or display devine, cause Tagtool started crashing from the very beggining… and yes Í have removed and re installed the app once already
So the app starts without issues and keeps crashing when you create content?
Experiencing occasional slowdowns or crashes in Tagtool can be frustrating. These issues often occur from memory limitations of the iPad. To help maintain optimal performance, consider the following :
Monitor Performance Indicators: If you notice that painting becomes sluggish or switching modes takes several seconds, it may indicate that your iPad is approaching its memory capacity.
Layer Management: Utilizing numerous paint or eraser strokes within a single layer can consume significant resources. Consider distributing your work across multiple layers.
Optimize Imported Files: Large imported images, especially PNG files exceeding 2000 x 2000 pixels, can strain your device’s resources. It’s advisable to use PNG files at or below this size.
Deck Folder Maintenance: Keep Tagtool´s decks folder free from clutter. All deckfolders are initialized during start up of the app. Use the Files App of iOS and move all unnecessary folders into a separate folder. You can move them back into “decks” folder of the app - when you need them again.
